Reflecting on 2023: Celebrating and Promoting Māori Culture
In 2023, Te Aranganui had the privilege to collaborate with numerous charities, government agencies, and communit events in our efforts to promote and celebrate Maori culture. Our involvement in various projects allowed us to contribute to the rich tapestry of cultural diversity while fostering meaningful connections within the community.
One of the highlights of our 2023 endeavours was our partnership with Sydney Marae Alliance to organise an impactful event that showcased the vibrant traditions and values of Māori culture. Through our collective efforts, we were able to raise much needed funds to continue the outstanding and unique work their organisation do for the promotion and appreciation for our cultural heritage that holds immense significance for the Māori community.
Additionally, our collaboration with government agencies provided a platform to further amplify the voices and narratives of the Māori people. By participating in initiatives that sought to integrate Māori perspectives into various facets of public life, we endeavoured to foster a more inclusive and harmonious society.
Furthermore, our involvement in community events served as a testament to our commitment to engaging with diverse audiences and sharing the captivating essence of Māori culture. These experiences not only allowed us to forge enduring connections but also empowered us to cultivate a deeper understanding of the significance of cultural preservation and celebration.
As we reflect on the past projects we were part of in 2023, we are reminded of the profound impact of our collective endeavours in promoting and preserving Maori culture. Looking ahead, we remain steadfast in our dedication to continuing this important work, collaborating with a diverse range of partners, and leaving a lasting legacy of cultural appreciation and unity.
We look forward to embarking on new journeys and contributing to the ever-evolving narrative of Māori culture in the years to come.
